Hey there, I've turned on recentf and savehist mode in my init.el but it didn't seem to work. I'm using server mode, everytime I opens a new client, recent file shows nothing on dashboard neither vertico shows last completions. I even tried consult-recentf, it just says, recentf-mode and shows nothing.

Config

   submitted by    /u/basicfn
[link]   [comments]

Junji Zhi has a newish (since September) blog that he calls Emacs TIL. As the name suggests, it’s a collection of small tips that Zhi learned on any particular day. The tips are all short—one or two minute reads—and easy to digest.

|
||||

Many of his discoveries will be familiar to experienced Emacs users but, to me at least, some were new. It doesn’t really matter because they’re so short that you don’t have to spend much time with them. If you’re interested in the opportunity to discover short Emacs tips, it’s worthwhile subscribing to his feed. It’s not a high volume blog so you won’t be overwhelmed.

Hey, I am trying to remote desktop into my arch linux machine (using xrdp and windows remote desktop). Xrdp doesn't allow me to see a desktop (or ssh doesn't let me connect) if im logged out, and if im logged in and have an internet connection, xrdp doesnt let me see a desktop when logging in on my windows laptop. So I need to have internet on boot. I have already tried suggestions from: https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/dfyxkp/noob_how_do_i_get_network_going_on_boot/ and none of them have worked. initial google searches also lead me nowhere. Any help is appreciated!!

   submitted by    /u/aaaafireball
[link]   [comments]

I recently started using roam a lot more and really love what it has to offer. I started migrating many of my notes, api org files (used with verb) and other things at work into it's own private org repo. What i'd like to do is actually somehow combine the content of the repos together without actually having them go to the same repo. So at work, I can add work fiels to the work repo, while at the same time have the db include my personal files that I can also update. I'm not sure if there's ways to manage this seamlessly so that I can not have my private content mixed with my public.

   submitted by    /u/indigo0086
[link]   [comments]
