This week on the podcast we do something a little bit different. We try to look inside the biblical writers imaginations and think about what they were trying to picture when they used certain words.

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. For thousands of years its been passed down through translators. And sometimes the words that we read today in our Bibles dont fit with the context the authors were originally using. Tim and Jon have a quick discussion on a popular Hebrew word “Shema.” It originally meant "to listen" and to the ancient Hebrew it was one of the most powerful words in the Scriptures, but today its importance is mostly lost.

This podcast accompanies the first in a new video series called "Word Studies." For more info, check out our YouTube channel and the video called "Word Study: Shema - Listen". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KQLOuIKaRA

Thanks for being part of this!

Hi! Yesterday I succeeded on installing Arch with GNOME running on Wayland with my NVIDIA GTX 1660. I did this because I needed to use both a 4k HiDPI and a Full HD screens with different scaling settings.

Everything in GNOME seems to look and scale good, however, both Firefox (already shipped with GNOME) and Chromium (installed from the AUR) are looking extremely big in both screens.

Here is a screenshot of what I am referring to: https://i.imgur.com/EJxuHEJ.jpg

Also as you can see (it only happens on Firefox) the rounded borders are glitched and they are rounded but you can see a square border too.

Any ideas on what it might be happening and how to fix it? I haven't tried installing any other AUR applications yet.

EDIT: I've installed clion and the same problem is happening, I am suspecting it might be a XWayland issue or a wrong DPI configured for XWayland.

   submitted by /u/OscarArranz
[link] [comments]
