I don't remember changing any system files in about a few weeks, but lately i've found my system often randomly freezing. Have tried changing tty and using the combo ctrl+alt+backspace but nothing helps in that instance, instead all I'm able to do is force shutdown- by holding power button.

Is it some kernel issue or have i unconsciously messed something up.
