Hi, I'm new to emacs and lots of the terminology and understanding for it is nooby.

I was wondering if someone could in baby terms guide me how I can do the following:

a) Write and save a text file

b) Open an application

c) Open a .mp3

d) Open a folder

e) Set a macro on my keyboard to open a specified application
