So I recently installed org-helm and org-roam and now whenever I open any old org file (not in my org-roam path for example) the file starts with everything expanded and even if I hit tab on the headlines they won't collapse. Quite vexing and difficult to google-for. I mentioned those recent installs mainly because that's the only thing I can think of, but I haven't been able to find anything that says that's a side effect.

EDIT: Okay I can Shift-Tab and collapse everything. But org-cycle seems to be something else.

EDIT: Oh yeah I also upgraded emacs/org-mode, so I could use roam, so that may have something to do with it.
