Sorry for vague title, I don't know how to word it clearly. I went to the wiki page for .NET Core and installed the SDK and runtime, then downloaded `mono-msbuild` and tried to build a simple hello world script. Then I get this:

Parameter "AssemblyFiles" has invalid value "/usr/lib/mono/4.6.2-api/mscorlib.dll". Could not load file or assembly 'System.Reflection.Metadata, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. [/home/spacenerden/Code/NoteTaker/NoteTaker.csproj] 

So I went searching around and found out that mono is apparently abandoned? I have no idea what to do next and if I can even use Arch for programming. Does anyone have a good way to get my projects to build?
