I currently know they will use an immutable rootfs, so basically a read-only root partition / and a read-write home partition /home.

How do they update safely? Do they just use pacman with a custom mirror list, and making temporarily the root partition read-write?

I have absolutely no clue but it's interesting to see, so if anyone has a better clue than me please share.
