I've often heard emacs described as a plaform to build editors, but aside from evil mode, I don't know of any other radical rebuilds of the editing experience. While I like emacs, the keybindings are brutal to my old worn tendons. I know I can change them, but I lack the wherewithal to undertake a radical rebuild. I'm perfectly comfortable with vi but prefer something that's not modal. Are there any other total redesigns of keybindings or editing I should look at?

   submitted by /u/encoded_spirit
[link] [comments] |
