Hello,

I'm back with some more question for my quest to move over to emacs. This time it's only about HELM (there will be more questions I'm sure of it), but this thread is only for HELM.

I have a couple of question I'd love to get some help with. I've tried googling for them, but only found answers that didn't really answer the question, or I couldn't actually understand how the answer worked. :(

Is there a way to make helm-find-file to also look in sub-directories? When I googled for this, most people suggested Projectile with helm, but I could not get that working at all. There was no error or such, but it did not search in sub-directories.

Is there anyway to make helm open a new window (or frame, not sure what it is called in emacs) at the center of the screen? There was some old questions here on this reddit for it, but they were 5 years old and then it seems like it wasn't possible. However, I saw on the official documentation that it should be possible. I just can't get it to work for me. I tried using Shackle to solve it as well, and that improved it, but still does not feel as good.

I believe that was my two helm questions I was mostly struggling with.

Thanks in advance

   submitted by /u/AtZeroOne
[link] [comments]
