Use &#8216;bc&#8217; as your command line calculator.<br />
&#8211; BC is a command line calculator that is included with most distros but can be installed via the repository if needed.<br />
&#8211; The tool allows you to do scientific, financial, or simple calculations right from the terminal.<br />
&#8211; Simple type &#8216;bc&#8217; in the terminal to invoke and type your operations such as 7*7 and hit enter<br />
&#8211; It supports addition, subtraction, multiplication, parantheses, exponents, etc. </p>
