<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>So I am running the Awesome window manager and I use lxappearance app to change my GTK themes. However I noticed that, except for Lxappearance itself, I have to exit and restart other GTK apps to get them to use any new theme I select. This is not issue with DEs like Xfce. So I am wondering what I missing to get this minor functionality while using a standalone WM?</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> &#32; submitted by &#32; <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/anonymous-bot"> /u/anonymous-bot </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/r34p5i/how_to_make_gtk_apps_switch_themes_instantly/">[link]</a></span> &#32; <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/r34p5i/how_to_make_gtk_apps_switch_themes_instantly/">[comments]</a></span>
