<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Hi again,</p> <p>Another (potentially silly) question: How are you setting development environments? I know that you can use <code>guix environment ...</code> and you even can connect it with <code>direnv</code> (I am using this <a href="https://github.com/direnv/direnv/blob/8e53139148945df922fd00b85bbdd0694554ec9b/stdlib.sh#L1144">https://github.com/direnv/direnv/blob/8e53139148945df922fd00b85bbdd0694554ec9b/stdlib.sh#L1144</a> from the <code>direnv</code> site, so basically in your <code>.envrc</code> you call <code>use guix packages</code> and it will copy the packages in the same directory, in order to speed up the process)</p> <p>But, this is the correct/optimal setup? Or how are you doing it? Could you share your workflow?</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> &#32; submitted by &#32; <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/nanounanue"> /u/nanounanue </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/GUIX/comments/p6x0cg/guix_environmentsworkflow_for_programming/">[link]</a></span> &#32; <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/GUIX/comments/p6x0cg/guix_environmentsworkflow_for_programming/">[comments]</a></span>
