Hi fellows emacsers,

I wrote a little tool in C that allows you to use normal keys as modifiers.

I found the other programs that were already providing this functionality either too complicated or not working very well.

So I thought this could be useful to some of you. I use it every day and I can definitively feel the beneficial effect on my pinky.

(For the curious ones, my keyboard setup is the following: CTRL on thumbs, CAPS is bound to ESCAPE, and both CAPS and ENTER have ALT as their secondary function. ALT is also on pinkies too, just in case. The "super/windows" keys are either on thumbs (next to CTRL) or palms depending on whether i'm using the laptop keyboard or the external one.

For normal remapping I have been using the X config files.)

   submitted by /u/__g_p__
[link] [comments]
